Reading Buddies at Robbins Lane

In library class, a heartwarming initiative brought together students from different grade levels through a reading buddy program. Students in grades 3-5 were paired with younger students in grades K-2, creating an opportunity for shared reading and mentorship. The older students took on the role of reading buddies, enthusiastically sharing stories and books with their younger partners. This collaboration not only fostered a love of reading across all ages but also provided valuable social interaction and skill development for both groups of students. The younger children benefited from the older students' reading fluency and engagement, while the older students honed their reading and communication skills in a supportive and encouraging environment.
